VIKING Rolls - Matten Brod

Like our Almond Kringle these are a Nordic House specialty creation. We know that MattenBrod doesn't translate into Viking Rolls but that is the nickname one of our customers gave them and it works. Kids have no problem eating "Viking Rolls" but hesitate to eat something that translates into "Meal in a Bun"

Looks can be deceiving for these truly are a complete healthy balanced meal in a bun. They are as tasty as they are nutritious. We start out with our own cardamom sweet dough that is high in fiber in itself and then fill them with rice, oats, barley, and other grains (muesli). We then add fruit to them but not sugar coated dried fruit used in so many other products. You get a host of vitamins, minerals, and fiber in tasty morsels of banana, strawberries, blueberries, elderberries, raisins, apple, blackberries, and raspberries. One of these has just the right blend of sugar, carbs, and all you need to keep you going no matter what you might be doing. They are great to throw in a lunch box, a purse, or grab as you head out the door for the commute to work. They are great to keep in your pocket or rucksack while hiking, biking, skiing, or boarding. Viking Rolls indeed!

We have had numerous requests to sell these online and so we are adding them to our online store. They are all natural and have no preservatives but do keep well. We recommend freezing them if you are not going to eat them within a day or two.
